Micro Media is a system that is used to present dynamic content and media on mobile phones. It can be thought of as a combination of a web browser and a flash application.

To be able to use Micro Media one have to download a Java MIDlet on a mobile phone. When Micro Media is installed one can just open it and start exploring what it has to offer.

Micro Media consist of a client and a server component. The server component is a web application developed in Microsoft .NET and comes with an API for developers that makes it easy to create new content. The client is a Java MIDlet that presents the data that the server component sends out.

Why use Micro Media when there is WAP? WAP is very static and it doesn't look very exciting. With Micro Media you can make your pages look exactly how you want. If you're able to get your customers to install Micro Media on their phones it will be much easier for them to use Micro Media than to enter a WAP page that they might not even remember the location of.

We've used Micro Media to create applications for customers. One of the products we've made is Hooha. Hooha is an application that is used to browse and buy mobile content. One can for instance go through thousands of ring tones, logos and games, and order any of it by pressing a single button. In addition people can send messages to eachother and charge their accounts with their creditcards or by SMS.
