Trilobit was started in November 2002 by Jon Hermansen and Anders Kjeldsen. They had already made Civtarion together and decided to start the company so that they could focus on game development for real. Their plan was to make money on mobile- and internet game concepts.
Some of our own concepts are Civtarion and Micro Steam. Civtarion is an online multiplayer game, partly based on Risk and Civilization. MicroSteam is a mobile game where the player is supposed to build a railroad, partly based on Railroad Tycoon.
We think it's important to keep our knowledge and understanding at a high level. We're very serious about following conventions and doing things the way they were ment to be done. On the other hand, when it's necessary we often find new solutions to meet our challenges with.
